CBX has the game and anyone who tells you different doesn’t know enough information.
They are the most consistent heavyweight with beautiful sticky buds king of kings.
Those crystalline buds give flavor from VaporCup is crazy and lasts..
They are not my favorite cultivator because the flowers are overall to heavy to be daily drivers.. The best was CBX Master Kush. which got the 9.

This is a tricky question to answer.
Cannabiotix (CBX) has unique genetics.
They are one of the best cultivators… especially if you are a heavyweight..
With that said, Cannabiotix did not invent cannabis and their strains are mixes if existing strains cultivated using their tricks to get betterment. I repeated what the budtender told me at Cana Sylmar that Mountain Sage was a pheno of Jack and Lambsbread.. two good old school strains.
Did you taste the jackish flavor too.
Lambsbread flavor could be there to..
In the end, I don’t believe any weed lore..
It’s all about the batches. You almost never hear me speak about plant genetics..
In this case let’s see what insiders here say..

​@Weed Entertainment I agree. I had the same thing happen to me w/ their Thicc Mint Cookies - The CBX website claimed it was one cross while their guys told my bud tender it was another. I think there's an incentive for growers to keep people guessing in this kind of competitive environment. IMO it's kind of unfortunate.
You're also absolutely right that even accurate genetics can be misleading since cannabinoid profiles & terpene levels vary so wildly between batches of even the most thoroughly "stabilized" genetics.

I do think - at least in theory - that better knowledge about lineage can still help consumers more easily identify products they enjoy. Canna/terp levels will always be variable but different batches of the same pheno often seem to have at least some commonality of traits (stuff like bud structure, flavor profile, etc.) IMO that can be worth knowing about when you're trying to decide between multiple options.

Back in the day when everything was underground it was basically impossible to keep up with the real genetics - there was an element of "urban legend" around "strains" which had an almost mythical quality. Since legalization I think tracking, stabilizing & profiling genetics has become more doable but...still far from perfect.

That’s what people are saying…
I don’t really believe most lineages.
It’s mostly a make it up.
A smart scientist friend in the flower biz told me there are really only around 7 strains getting mixed over and over again.
Who knows.. but 100% a flower is what the cultivator who gave it to the cultivator calls it and in many cases its just not true.
I know this to be true from seeing it happen over and over again..
Did you try CBX Mountain Sage?
It really tasted like a Jack / Lambsbread from VaporCup which you can taste flavor just unbelievably..
